Angola is our new favorite country!

Now, we don’t know much about it, except maybe that it’s in Africa, it’s a former Portuguese colony, and it was afflicted by civil war for many years, but things are peaceful now. Needless to say, we had never visited it. But, no matter how little we may know about it, it has become our new favorite place! And this is all thanks to you, Danisa and Danilo, and to your guests.

Your wedding allowed us to interact with a culture that impressed us deeply, and I think this goes for all the Romanians who were there. Just crossing paths with this wedding simply made us all more mindful and better people.

You were warm, friendly and convivial. You all laughed and cried, and you experienced the event wholeheartedly. You reminded us of how precious family is. You expressed yourselves on the dance floor like we had never seen before, and you had the funkiest dance routines, although they were totally improvised.

And, when you got to your slow dances or semba dances, you got so close to one another, and your bodies became so intertwined, that your passion “infected” us too. Well, the effects were not apparent on the spot, but after we got home. We admit it: thanks to you, we now dance at home as often as we can and holding each other as tightly as possible. 🙂

That night, we took photos and danced at the same time. And, although it’s been a while since the wedding, we still listen to Angolan music at home! Because it takes us back to you, time and again. And we love that.

That’s why Angola is our favorite country! It doesn’t matter what it’s really like: all that matters is that its people are our favorite people.
